FOR SCHOOLS & DISTRICTS
Contract School Psychology for Northern Arizona Schools
When a district needs school psychology capacity it does not have on staff — for a vacancy, a specialized evaluation, a caseload spike, or a project — Sky Island contracts to provide it, at a scope defined with your team rather than a fixed package.
Who this is for
Districts with an unfilled position
A school psychologist vacancy that is not going to be filled this semester, with evaluations that cannot wait for it.
Charter schools and small LEAs
Organizations that need school psychology expertise but not a full-time position on the payroll.
Special education and ESS leadership
Directors who need predictable evaluation capacity, or a specialist for cases their team is not staffed for.
Teams needing consultation, not testing
MTSS/RTI problem solving, case consultation, or staff training, without an evaluation attached.
How a contract comes together

We discuss priorities, student needs, timelines, and what your team already has covered.
Proposed approach
Sky Island identifies which services fit, what availability looks like, and how the arrangement would be structured.
Contracting
Scope, deliverables, and terms are set in writing, consistent with your district or charter vendor requirements.
Service delivery

Common questions
Can we contract for a single evaluation?
Yes. Single-evaluation and short-term project contracts are common, as are seasonal arrangements and ongoing support where availability allows.
Do you work on site?
Direct assessment and observation are conducted on site. Records review, report writing, and some consultation may be done remotely, as agreed in the contract.
How is scope decided?
After the introductory conversation. Scope, timelines, and deliverables are written into the contract so both sides know what was agreed.
Can you cover bilingual evaluations specifically?
Yes — bilingual Spanish–English assessment is a core specialty and a frequent reason districts contract with Sky Island.
Not sure what you need yet?
Schools and districts are welcome to reach out before the need is fully defined. A short introductory conversation is the best place to start.
