Flexible School Psychology Support for Your Team

Sky Island partners with schools, districts, charter schools, and educational organizations to supplement and support the work your team is already doing. Support can be a single project, a specialized need, temporary coverage, or an ongoing arrangement when that's the right fit.

You don't need a crisis or a staffing emergency to work with us and you don't need to know exactly which service you need before reaching out.

A CORE SPECIALTY

Bilingual Spanish–English Assessment

Bilingual evaluation is one of the hardest needs for a school team to cover, and one of the easiest to get wrong. Sky Island provides assessment directly in Spanish or English, with attention to language history, cultural context, and the difference between a language difference and a disability, plus meetings and feedback with families in the language they prefer.

GETTING STARTED

How a Partnership Begins

Simple and consultative. We start by understanding your needs, service structure comes after that.

  1. Reach Out

Contact Sky Island and briefly describe your school or district's current needs. You don't need to have it fully scoped.

  2. Connect

We arrange an introductory conversation to discuss priorities, timelines, service needs, and anticipated scope.

  3. Develop an Approach

Sky Island determines what services may be appropriate and provides relevant information about services, availability, service structure, and contracting.

  4. Determine Next Steps

If the partnership looks like a good fit, we and your school or district decide on appropriate next steps together.

How Sky Island Works

Evaluations integrate student strengths, functional needs, developmental context, and multiple sources of data to support clear, educationally relevant recommendations.

Ethical & Evidence-Based

Practice grounded in professional standards and current school psychology evidence.

Strength-Based & Neurodiversity-Affirming

Objective assessment that documents areas of impairment and educational need accurately, describes differences respectfully, and ties both to supports that improve access and participation. Conclusions follow the data; they are not predetermined.

Multiple Sources of Data

Standardized measures, observation, record review, work samples, and input from staff and family, weighed together rather than in isolation.

Culturally & Linguistically Responsive

Assessment and consultation that account for language, culture, and context.

Collaborative

Work done alongside your existing team, not around it.

Practical Recommendations

Findings written so that teachers, teams, and families can actually use them.

Sky Island provides school psychology and educational evaluation services consistent with applicable federal and Arizona requirements, professional and ethical standards, and the requirements of the contracted role and educational setting.

RECORDS & DOCUMENTATION

A complete records package, plus a three-year backup

Every engagement ends with your school receiving a full set of records for the work performed, organized and ready for your files, so your team has what it needs to meet applicable record retention requirements.

We also know that files sometimes get accidentally deleted, drives fail, and staff turn over. Sky Island securely retains a copy of all records for three years, so if something goes missing on your end, a backup still exists.

Delivered, not requested

Your full records package is provided as part of the work, without a separate records request.

Three-year secure backup

Records are retained securely for three years and can be re-issued to the authorized school contact.

Confidentiality maintained

Storage and release follow FERPA, applicable Arizona requirements, and the terms of your contract.

Records handling, delivery format, and retention are confirmed in your service agreement.

Let's discuss your needs and our service options.

Tell us a little about your school or district and we'll set up an introductory conversation. No packet to fill out, no lengthy onboarding, just a direct conversation about what would help.
